1.Who we are
Irvtec (irvtec.com) publishes free calculators, checkers, comparisons and guides intended to help you make faster, more informed decisions about products, services and household purchases. Irvtec is an independent publisher — we are not a financial advisor, installer, retailer, lender, or legal professional, and nothing on this site should be treated as coming from one.
2.Affiliate disclosure
Some links on Irvtec are affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, sign up, or complete an enquiry with a business we’ve linked to, we may earn a commission or referral fee. In some cases, we may also be paid directly by installers, tradespeople, or service providers for connecting them with your enquiry (a “pay-per-lead” arrangement).
This does not cost you anything extra — any commission we earn comes out of the retailer or provider’s marketing budget, not your pocket.
It also does not change our recommendations: we aim to describe tools, products and providers accurately whether or not a link is monetised. Where a specific piece of content is sponsored or paid for outright by a brand, we’ll say so clearly on that page.
We are not obligated to promote any particular product, brand, or provider, and inclusion on Irvtec is not an endorsement guaranteeing quality, safety, or suitability for your specific situation.
3.Tool & calculator accuracy
Our calculators and checkers are built to give you a useful estimate or starting point — not a guaranteed, precise, or final answer.
- Results are based on the information you enter and general assumptions or published data at the time the tool was built. Inputs, pricing, eligibility rules, regulations, and product specifications change — our tools may not always reflect the most current figures.
- Calculations can contain errors, whether from the underlying logic, outdated data, or how a result is rounded or interpreted. We do our best to keep tools accurate, but we cannot guarantee any result is error-free.
- Tools are general-purpose and do not account for every individual circumstance, property, contract, or regional variation that could affect your actual outcome.
Always verify independently before making a decision or spending money — get a quote, confirm eligibility directly with a provider, or check current pricing/regulations yourself. Do not treat a tool result on this site as a final figure, a guarantee of savings, or a substitute for professional confirmation.
We are not liable for decisions made, money spent, or losses incurred based on a calculator or checker result. See Section 7 for more on limitation of liability.
4.Not professional advice
Nothing on Irvtec constitutes financial, legal, tax, medical, or professional advice of any kind. Content is provided for general informational purposes only. Where a decision has significant financial, legal, or safety implications, you should consult a qualified, licensed professional before acting.
5.Privacy policy
This section explains what personal data Irvtec collects, why, and what rights you have over it.
What we collect
- Information you give us directly — currently, this is limited to what you submit through our contact form: your name, email address, and message. We only collect this when you choose to fill in and submit the form.
- Standard technical data — like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for every visitor (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and site-operation purposes. This is standard web server behaviour, not active tracking.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) on Irvtec. If that changes in future, this policy will be updated first to name the specific tool, what it collects, and how to opt out — and a cookie notice will be added to the site.
How we use it
- Contact form submissions are used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your message with third parties unless the enquiry itself requires it (for example, if you ask us to put you in touch with a provider).
- Technical server logs are used only for security, troubleshooting, and keeping the site running reliably.
Affiliate links & third-party sites
When you click an affiliate link or a link to a provider, you leave Irvtec and land on that company’s own website. What happens to your data from that point is governed by their privacy policy, not ours — we don’t control or see what they collect. We’d encourage you to check a provider’s own privacy policy before submitting any details to them.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up, then deleted. We don’t retain contact data indefinitely or use it for purposes beyond the enquiry it was sent for.
Your rights
Depending on where you’re based, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in Section 10 — we’ll respond as promptly as we reasonably can. As a small, independent site with a minimal data footprint (currently just contact-form messages), most requests should be straightforward for us to action quickly.
Children’s privacy
Irvtec is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
International visitors
Irvtec is operated from the Isle of Man. If you’re visiting from outside the Isle of Man, be aware that any information you submit (such as via the contact form) may be processed in the Isle of Man or by service providers located elsewhere (for example, our hosting or email provider).
6.Acceptable use
You agree to use Irvtec and its tools lawfully and not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the site or its tools
- Scrape or republish our content, tools, or underlying logic without permission
- Use the site to submit false information intended to misuse a calculator, checker, or lead-generation form
7.Limitation of liability
Irvtec, its owner, and any contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this site, its content, or its tools — including but not limited to financial loss, missed savings, or decisions made based on inaccurate or outdated information.
The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
8.Intellectual property
All original content, tools, design, and branding on Irvtec — including the Irvtec name and logo — belong to Irvtec unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our tools or content without written permission.
9.Changes to this page
We may update these terms, disclosures, and this privacy policy from time to time as the site, its tools, or applicable regulations change — particularly as new tools go live or if we add analytics/tracking in future. Continued use of Irvtec after an update means you accept the revised terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
